Am Wochenende fand der August-Bötger-Pokal 2017 in Pattensen statt. Hierzu traten 197 Teilnehmer aus zwölf Vereinen an, um die besten Schwimmer zu ermitteln. Die SG RethenSarstedt schickte 15 Teilnehmer an den Start und konnte zehnmal Gold, sechsmal Silber und elfmal Bronze erkämpfen. In der Vereinswertung belegten wir Platz 8.
